Pash Movement is the creation of Ashley, a lover of all things Pilates.

Ashley’s pilates movement journey began in 2005 when she stumbled across a class in her local gym; after jumping and pumping in other group classes decided to try something different… and so the the love affair began.

Ashley found herself at her first teacher training deep in the jungle in the beautiful Costa Rica undertaking a Balanced Body mat course. This course was taught by a Pilates guru Paige Siefferet. Paige, hosts an impressive teaching career and now calls Nosara, Costa Rica home where she hosts education from her treehouse jungle studio. Ashley studied again with Paige in 2020 in her latest course offering; Ayurveda for Pilates Teachers. This course integrates the holistic and ancient wisdom of Ayurveda medicine which primarily focuses on brining balance to the body. Paige has combined her knowledge in this field together with pilates exercises to form an accredited course. The course heavily focuses on understanding and assessing each individual and tailoring a class to assist with restoring balance.

Ashley’s next training was with Breathe Education; who offers an accredited course examining the classical repertoire on the mat and the reformer. The course provides a deep understanding of the movements and an appreciation of how diverse, intelligent and creative Joseph Pilates was.

With a desire for continuing education, Ashley found herself at Polestar Pilates completing a full studio/rehabilitation course. This course provides a clinical understanding of how pilates can be used in the rehabilitation of injuries utilizing all of the pilates equipment. It also provides an extensive library of repertoire. Polestar education offers a plethora of knowledge, and again Ashley found herself being mentored by some of the industries best and Australia’s most credible teachers and educators.

Ashley’s movement journey continues to evolve after completing her barre training in 2023 which compliments pilates with ease and integrates new learnings from alternate holistic styles of health and weaves it into her teaching.
